Joker (2019 film)

I failed to watch "Joker" in the cinema for financial reasons.

I didn't expected that Robert De Niro is one of the cast. I do admit that Joaquin Phoenix did a fantastic job for portraying the Joker. His performance in the talk show scene was fantastic.

Genre: Drama, Adaptation
Rating:
MTRCB: R-16
MPAA: Rated R for strong bloody violence, disturbing behavior, language and brief sexual images.

Knives Out (2019 film)

Genre: Mystery
MTRCB: PG-13
MPAA: Rated PG-13 for thematic elements including brief violence, some strong language, sexual references, and drug material.

"Knives Out" is a good film. The actors are good in the movie.

Most murder mystery movies are drama, I don't find "Knives Out" a murder mystery movie under the drama genre.

I didn't expected that Chris Evans' character in the ending.

The Lighthouse (2019 film)

Genre: Drama, Mystery
MTRCB: R-13
MPAA: Rated R for sexual content, nudity, violence, disturbing images, and some language.

Watched the horror film "The Lighthouse" last night. Honestly, I didn't understood the plot of the movie.

The performances of Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson are fantastic. The cinematography is lovely.

This movie has the lowest number of cast members that I watched.

Frozen 2 (2019 film),

Genre: Fantasy, Musical, Comedy, Adventure.

Warning: This post may contain spoilers.

I like the first movie, but this film , for me , didn't catch or overcome the magic of the first installment. Although the sequel has still have its own magic.

Like the first installment, the sequel has songs performed by the voice actors. The sequel has jokes, too.

Possible category for next year's awards season:
Best Animated Feature Film

The Disaster Artist (2017 film)

Genre: Comedy, Adaptation
MPAA: Rated R for language throughout and some sexuality/nudity.

Warning: This post may contain spoilers.

The movie is based on the book by Greg Sestero & Tom Bissell entitled "The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made". The film about the first meeting of Greg Sestero and Tommy Wiseau, untile the release of the 2003 film "The Room".

The Franco brothers did well on their respective roles. As James Franco did his directing role. There is also a series of information of the film, and a small of information of Tommy Wiseau.

My prediction for the film, for this year's 90th Academy Awards:
Best Picture
Best Director (for James Franco)
Best Actor (for both James and Dave Franco)
Best Supporting (for both Dave Franco and Seth Rogen)
Best Adapted Screenplay
Best Film Editing
Best Production Design
